Clara Schumann was a composer during the romantic Era. She played a few concerts but also had a few children. The Romantic Era was an era that had no rules. Clara was able to write a few nice pieces and also preform them for many people. Clara only wrote three romantic pieces in her lifetime. Even though Clara wrote some music she did preform pieces by Chopin, Mendelssohn, her husband and other Romantic era composers. Her husband, Robert, did convince her to continue writing, he secretly published and presented them to her on their first anniversary. Clara had earned her respect and admiration from most of the leading musicians and writers at that time. Clara had written music as a child and continued through her middle years. When her husband died Clara lost her confidence in herself as a composer. She devoted herself to interpreting some of her late husband's works.
